WELCOME TO THE ABBEYDALE STRING ORCHESTRA WEBSITE
We are a group of friendly string players who delight in making music together. We are of varying standards, from Grade 3 to 7, with the common aim of enjoying different repertoires available to string ensembles. Many of us do play in other amateur orchestras but appreciate the specific sound and music for strings. We don't give concerts, preferring to play a wide range of music in a relaxed environment. A simple constitution and a useful information sheet set out how we operate.
A variety of classical and light music is played and our professional conductor, Charlotte Pinder, gives us lots of advice on technique.
We meet on Wednesday evenings, during school terms, 7-9pm, at King Ecgbert's School, Totley Brook Road, Sheffield S17 3QU
A very warm welcome is given to new members by this friendly and supportive group.
